The Fall 2017 CleanSweepNY pesticide collection event will be taking place the week of October 2nd in DEC Region 8, which includes the counties of Chemung, Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Wayne, and Yates.

OSHA Forklift Course

King Ferry, NY

OSHA Outreach Authorized Trainer Jeff Hauser of Liftech Equipment Companies (Syracuse, NY) will be conducting a Forklift Certification Class at Treleaven on 9/28/2017 at 9 am. The class will take approximately 4 hours to complete and will be conducted using a sit down forklift truck. After completing the class, operators will receive OSHA forklift certification. EnoCert 203: Winery Safety and Sanitation

September 30 - November 30, 2017

Winery Safety and Sanitation is intended for all cellar personnel. Safety and sanitation are often overlooked in winemaking courses, but are essential to the production of high quality-and more importantly, LEGAL-wines. In this digital learning course, participants will learn to identify and address safety hazards, the role of OSHA and other regulatory bodies, the principles behind a safe and effective sanitation strategy, and common areas of contamination in a winery setting.
